R/V Kilo Moana cruise and SeaFlow dashboard

This dashboard displays a live feed of sensors on board the R/V Kilo Moana during a research cruise in the northeast Pacific Ocean. Data are displayed in 3-minute intervals over the past 25 hours.

At right, you can see the vessel's cruise track and current position, extracted from GPS coordinates in the ship's data systems (SDS). From the GPS tracks, we compute the vessel's velocity over time.

The panels below monitor performance of the SeaFlow instrument, e.g., the pressure of seawater through the pump system. At bottom right, we show live statistics (STATS) of the phytoplankton population.
